Saw your blog due to crochet interests, really inspired by the bed curtain idea- could you let us know how you hung it and what materials? I'm thinking of doing the same when we move next week! Thanks, cheers, happy crafting- Jana

Yep, I know how much an ugly kitchen can bring you down. I cringe every time I walk into mine. But your little update is very sweet. I too like the colors on the linoleum. It would make for a fresh kitchen if you used those colors in your remodel.

What a nice, big kitchen! There's nothing like "before" pictures, which become more and more gratifying to look at as your home is transformed!

It looks great! We did all the cupboards in our kitchen white, they were that dark 70's wood as well. What a difference it makes, I would highly recommend it! Oh the joys of home renovation!
I love checking your website for inspiration!

B, it looks really nice. I like the lighter orange (salmon?) on red. You've such a great eye for design!

what a great way to spruce up your kitchen! And I remember that wallpaper from kitchens back when I was a kid (and back when I thought the kitchen on Family Ties was the coolest!)

The magnolia is magnificant. I'd love this blooming in my house about now too. I think the crabapple blooms are going to warm you up enough to melt that snow. We had a freaky little snow storm yesterday that blew right through in 30 minutes. It took away the sunshine for only that long though, and then it melted right away. It was the final farewell I hope.

Ah, yes. Paint with no VOC's... such a wonderful invention. Six months ago I went in search and found to my dismay that no one around here carries them. Maybe, I should look again, but I live in a part of the country that is only "green" in the summer. Seriously, we are surrounded by farms and when I ask at the local grocery store if something is grown locally, I get a response that is equal to "Of course not! That would be disgusting!" Okay, enough ranting. I thought about having paint shipped to me, but since I am so picky about color, I was worried that would turn into a fiasco. If I was really "green" I would just learn to live with white and not paint when it isn't necessary. But I am afraid that I too, have a long way to go.

Well, the top picture looks like a bit of spring, but the bottom one sure does not... does it feel like Narnia under the White Witch, always winter and never Christmas?
