Happy New Year!!
I am not a wrapping paper saver! I hate clutter and have enough of it without saving Christmas wrapping paper. But when a gift came wrapped in this delightful combination I couldn’t throw it out. I knew I could make something out of it so when I started to realize I needed a calendar for this new year and didn’t have one yet, I had just the thing. It took a very short time to make and an enormous amount of time (5 separate attempts and about 40 shots) to get this lousy photograph. Still no sun, but a few slivers of blue sky up their so I am hopeful.
Note: The sun is out today so I was able to replace the photo with a slightly better shot! That makes 6 separate attempts and 45 shots to capture this silly thing.

And as you can see I am off to Chicago today. My sister and I will meet up with my brother and his girlfriend from Minneapolis. It is sort of a halfway point although I think they have a little farther to drive than we do. I am very excited to meet her. I can’t wait to know the face behind all the great emails!
So glad to see that you could use the paper again! I felt a little wierd using it to wrap a kids’ gift, but I had had it for so long… I feel better now, knowing it has been reincarnated.
